Before Your Appointment
Getting to your appointment
Travel and parking
Onda is located on Belvoir Street, Leicester, LE1 6SL, within walking distance of the clocktower and train station. If you’re driving, there is a car park available on Dover Street, though spaces may be limited during peak hours.
Your appointment
Before and During
You must be 18 years or older to get a tattoo. We require photographic ID to verify your age; acceptable forms of ID include a card carrying the PASS hologram, a driving licence, or a passport.
If you cannot provide adequate identification, we are unable to tattoo you and your deposit will be forfeited.
The studio strictly enforces an over-18s-only policy, and children are not permitted on-site, so please ensure you have arranged childcare for the entirety of your appointment.
Please arrive on time for your appointment and let us know if you are going to be late. Arriving more than 30 minutes late may result in the cancellation of your appointment and forfeiture of your deposit.
Before your appointment, make sure to eat a good meal, get a good night’s sleep, and stay hydrated.
To ensure a safe and comfortable tattoo experience, we require you to complete an informed consent form. This form includes basic medical questions and asks you to list any medications you may be taking, so please bring a list if needed.
For your safety, please bring any emergency medications you may need, such as insulin, asthma inhalers, and EpiPens.
We also ask that you inform us of any non-prescription drug use. Your records are kept strictly confidential and there is no judgement, but we need to know to ensure we can tattoo you safely.
Please bring anything you need to stay comfortable during your session, including drinks, snacks, mobile phones, books, and so on. Where possible, please use headphones if you plan to stream films/shows or listen to music.
What to wear
In general
Comfy, baggy clothing that you don’t mind getting ink on (black if possible).
For arm tattoos
Baggy T-shirts or tops that expose the area being tattooed.
For leg tattoos
Shorts, skirts, or baggy trousers that can be moved easily.
For rib/sternum tattoos
A baggy or cropped top or shirt that can still be worn but allows access to the area.
For back tattoos
A button-up shirt or a zip-up hoodie that can be worn backwards so you remain covered.
For hip tattoos
Bikini bottoms that tie at the side, side-split skirts, or baggy shorts.
For placements that require clothing to be removed, we can move into a private room on request, and we also offer nipple cover plasters.
Deposits and cancellation policy
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable, and will be forfeited if you fail to attend your appointment, arrive too late to be tattooed, or are in an unfit state to be tattooed.
If you cancel at short notice or don’t show up, your appointment will be forfeited and you may be required to pay in full before rebooking. If this happens more than once, we reserve the right to decline any future bookings.
If you need to reschedule, your deposit will carry over only if sufficient notice — a minimum of 72 hours — is given. If a new date is not agreed immediately, we can hold a deposit for up to 6 months, after which it will be forfeited and a new deposit will be required to rebook. You may reschedule once on the same deposit; a second reschedule will require a new deposit.
For pieces requiring multiple sessions, a single deposit is needed, which will carry over to each consecutive session and be deducted from the cost of the final session. You may book up to 4 sessions on the same deposit, ideally spaced around 4–6 weeks apart.
Payment
At present, we can only accept payment in cash or by bank transfer. Unfortunately, we are unable to process card payments.
